Is your body supposed to hurt?

So I (5'4/27F) have been on a weight loss journey since Feb, and as of this week went from 220 to 158. I did not exercise, just CICO, stating in a caloric deficit, and medically supervised GLP1s. That is to say, I'm smaller but NOT fitter haha. Never in my life have ever been very active or fit, and I'm basically 0% athletic.

Well I started working out about a month ago. Pure Barre (low intensity, low weight about 2-3lb dumbbells, heavy repetitions). But I also do plan to attempt weight lifting at the gym. My goal is to tone up and reduce my body fat percentage to more lean muscle. I did an inbody scan where it said I had about 40% body fat compared to lean muscle/skeletal mass.

Well...it hurts lol. Squats hurt. Crunches hurt. My back hurts. Knees hurt. Hips hurt. Feet stay swollen. Im so out of shape, that when I do mild/moderate exercise for 2 days in a row...my body is like ABSOLUTELY NOT. There's no "runners high" or "lifting high"/enjoyment. My body just goes from sore to genuine pain, and then I have to take multiple days to recover.

Is this normal? Is it supposed to genuinely suck in the beginning?
