What's your hot take?

Mine: Chiyo's inclusion is overhated.

Now don't get me wrong, it's weird as crap, and I'm hoping the anime executes/clarifies this with a BIT more grace, but I think people who go "this is too far" are themselves taking their pearl-clutching too far. The historical precedence, the rationale, for these kinds of cousin marriages are given by Chiyo's father - so, while it's still an outdated idea in the present day, I'm basically saying that the inherent disgust we feel towards this idea is NOT something that will be taken advantage of by Rentarou, nor is it being done by his uncle for such a reason.

It's unfortunate that Chiyo embodies so many distasteful tropes, as she's actually one of the best characters imo.
