I grew up in Dubai AMA

I spent a good chunk of my childhood in Dubai from ages 7-16, went to an International (British) school that taught boys and girls but we were separated during elementary years and then co-ed grade 9-13.

My dad worked hospitality in a management position that paid for my education. My parents paid out of pocket for my siblings. Our apartment was paid for by his work, too. My mom worked for a job that gave her the equivalent of 15k CAD semi-annually in bonuses so we lived very lavishly and luxuriously.

Dubai was very materialistic lol. The last time I visited was 2013.
