Frame interpolation before or after twixtor?

So basically I use clips that are 1000 fps+ before adding twixtor to them as I usually work with cartoons/2D animation. I was wondering if I should turn on frame interpolation on the footage before or after adding twixtor. I usually turn it on after adding twixtor but I'm just asking on here to check if it even makes any difference. Kind of new to AE sorry if it sounds dumb. Thanks in advance.
