Why Turks/Turkiye still have a positive image in the UK?

As a Turk I found it pleasant and interesting that Turks still have a positive image overall despite Brexit (fear that Turkiye will be a EU member) and more recent the migration issues.

There are many restaraunts and barber shops labelled as Turkish although not all owned by Turks. Many British still holiday there. I wonder is there a specific reason. Or all people hiding their views?

Over the years I hardly encountered any real racism. Maybe some subtle not sure. I am aware people are rightly sceptical of our president.
