ADVICE WANTED - Finishing Bathroom walls without Tiles (render/micro-cement)

Planning a bathroom renovation and would love to explore finishing the walls for the shower/bath area in a render or micro-cement type style and avoid tiles. I've really struggled finding where to get this done in Australia (specifically Melbourne)

Anyone have any advice on whether this is a thing that could be done/is a good idea/where to start?
