Mini shaker wood movement

I’m working on replacing some cabinet fronts with a mini shaker design. My plan is just to wrap mitered rails and stiles around the face (pictured). That said, I’m concerned about wood movement. Does anyone have any suggestion on how to mitigate this? I’m not sure if it’s even going to be much of an issue?

My only thought is to glue the rails to the panel (same grain direction), and leave a little room for panel expansion on the rails. I’m new at this and have just enough knowledge to be dangerous. Lol
