What to do with unused insulin syringes?

Long story short, because of my insurance, I have to pick up syringes with my insulin in order to get it for free. I use an insulin pump so they're of no use to me.

Does anyone know how I can get rid of these unopened boxes properly? I'd like to donate them if possible, but I want to make sure they end up in the right hands.

My endocrinologist wouldn't accept them.
