Airtel Axis Cashback Calculation and Issue
This is a copy of my Airtel Axis Credit Card with total due Rs 8353.92. Cash back from last month amounts to Rs 769 and cash back earned this month is Rs 333.
Statement. Due date: 01/11/2024
The cash back for this month is the issue. I think I should receive Rs 672 cash back. Before I take this to Axis Bank Customer Care, I just want to verify the calculation method.
Airtel: Rs 250 (no calculation needed since my expenses at Airtel was greater than Rs 1000)
Swiggy: 10% * (285 + 236 + 452 + 134 + 162 + 271 + 474 + 504 + 321 + 220 + 183 + 686 + 292) = 422
Total: 250 + 422 = Rs 672
Few things to note:
- Swiggy transaction for Rs 183 and Rs 686 on 8/10 and 9/10, respectively, are from the same restaurant. Once I ordered raw paneer and another time ready-to-eat food. Since the merchant category changes from "Food Products" to "Restaurants," maybe Swiggy doesn't count it. Let's say we ignore Rs 686, so decrease the cash back by Rs 68.6
- I use two Swiggy accounts each logged in on a different smartphone and linked to a different number. After checking that I placed each of these Swiggy orders on both devices, I was unable to find the transaction on 29/9 for Rs 70 and on 25/9 for Rs 236. Ignoring these charges, cash back should decrease by Rs 30.6
Then, my cash back should be: 672 - 68.6 - 30.6 = 572.8
Question:
- Should I call the Axis Bank Customer Care and ask for the cash back to be increased to what I think it is? Is my calculation correct?
- As I write this post, I realise that maybe you can only get cash back from one Swiggy account. Is that the case?
