Pre-collision braking.

Just purchased by 2025 CW a week ago. Was making a left turn today, which was a safe distance away from the on coming car. As I gassed to make my turn, the brakes were applied causing a very dangerous situation. Luckily the car was far enough that I was able to give to give her more gas to proceed with my turn. I have turned off that option. Anybody else experience this??
