LöfLife Weekly Waivers - GW11, last one before another int break

Hey!

Back for more waiver action! You can find me on X at FPL_Löflife (@peter_lof) / X for daily updates on FPL Draft.

Last week didn’t go so well, late goals ruined our clean sheets. I made a mistake with MGW being back who benched Anderson, but he still managed an assist. Davis scored a beauty, but apart from that, there wasn’t much to celebrate. Let’s hope for a better outcome this week.

These are the last games before another international break, which makes it a good time to consider players returning from injuries.

Deadline is a bit later today, in ~4 hours.

Defenders:

Rayan Ait-Nouri (WOL) - Southampton

Keeping him in another week. Wolves need a win here, and RAN has the highest xGI (expected goal involvement) besides the Wolves’ strikers in recent games. With potential for high points on goals and a (slight) chance of a clean sheet, he’s a great pick for this GW.

Radu Dragusin (TOT) - Ipswich

Usually not a fan of picking a Spurs defender for clean sheets, but at home against Ipswich, it’s worth a shot. With VDV out and Romero doubtful, he should be a lock for the starting eleven.

Diego Dalot (MUN) - Leicester

United’s had a rough patch, but he’s versatile and should start this game. He’s their most attacking defender, and it’s a game where United really should keep a clean sheet.

Daniel Muñoz (CRY) - Fulham

This is a must-win game. Palace have had a tough schedule, but even without great results, they’ve played well lately. I see Palace as favorites here, and Munoz is their most attack-minded defender with the highest xGI, even though it’s been Guehi finding the goals.

Midfielders:

Morgan Gibbs-White (NFO) - Newcastle

Might be available in some leagues after his two-game suspension. Third-placed Forest keep winning, and they easily handled West Ham last weekend. Nuno’s worked wonders this season. Despite Newcastle’s solid showing against Arsenal, I don’t fully trust their defense against the force of Chris Wood & Co.

Amad Diallo (MUN) - Leicester

Should start after a strong Europa performance. With ETH gone, I think Ruud will start him. Only Ipswich have a higher xGA than Leicester, and United have started scoring since ETH’s departure. This is one of the first times in a while I see United as clear favorites.

Justin Kluivert (BOU) - Brentford

Lost faith in Brentford’s defense, they just can’t keep a clean sheet. Now facing Bournemouth, who’ve beaten Arsenal and City in their last three games. Kluivert was great against City and should keep his spot. I’d pick up any of Bournemouth’s front four this GW: Semenyo, Evanilson, Kluivert, and Tavernier (in that order).

Curtis Jones (LIV) - Aston Villa

I think Slot should stick with Jones for now; he’s on fire. He helped Liverpool turn around the game against Brighton last weekend and started against Leverkusen. That 7-2 Villa win is hard to forget, but since then, it’s been six Liverpool wins and two draws, so I expect another Liverpool win here.

Strikers:

Evanilson (BOU) - Brentford

With two goals in his last two games, his confidence should be up after a rough start. While it’s no guaranteed Bournemouth win, they’re very likely to score.

Joao Pedro (BRI) - Man City

Should be back for this game. This isn’t the ideal matchup, but with Bournemouth and Southampton coming up, he’s worth picking up if you’re looking to upgrade your third striker spot for the long run.

Callum Wilson (NEW) - N/A

Another striker on the way back from injury. He should be back after the break, and he’s high-upside if he can get going. Expect him to be eased in, but if you have the bench space, he’s a good pick for larger leagues.

Good luck!
