Löflife weekly waivers GW24
Hey!
Follow me on X u/peter_lof for Draft updates.
Deadline in 2 hours! Don't miss it!
Last week, we had some bangers, hope you had a chance of picking up Szoboszlai or Ouattara. Even Richarlison managed to score before getting subbed off.
DGW incoming – Liverpool & Everton are doubling.
As I’ve mentioned many times before, just go for the players with double game weeks. They start with an extra 2 points.
Take Everton this week: Leicester at home is a good fixture. Liverpool away is a tough one, but they’ve still conceded in 7 of their last 10 games.
Transfer Window Talk
The transfer window is usually a great opportunity to gain an edge by staying well-informed about incoming players. But this year, there aren’t many FPL-relevant signings.
Omar Marmoush (MCI) is the obvious one.
Khusanov (MCI) was thrown straight into the team against Chelsea, but that was mainly due to injuries.
Donyell Malen (AVL) has only played 25 minutes for Villa so far, but I expect him to get his chances especially with Duran moving to Saudi Arabia.
Let’s get into this Gameweek!
Goalkeepers
Nick Pope (NEW) – Fulham
He’s back! He was on the bench against Southampton. Dubravka has been decent, but Pope is Newcastle’s main keeper. it’s only a matter of time before he reclaims his spot.
If he’s available, pick him up. Newcastle is one of the few teams capable of keeping a clean sheet.
Defenders
James Tarkowski / Vitalii Mykolenko (EVE) – Leicester / Liverpool
I’d consider both, even in a single game week against Leicester. Everton is solid defensively and has started winning games.
I rank Tarkowski/Branthwaite ahead of the full-backs. If Everton scores against Liverpool, it’ll likely come from a set piece.
Reece James (CHE) – West Ham
Here we go again… Can he play three straight games without getting injured?
Everyone from Chelsea’s defense looks interesting, no real "Potter effect," and their attack remains toothless. Bowen might return, but there’s a decent probability of a clean sheet. James’ attacking threat makes him a great pick.
Ben White (ARS) – Nope
He’ll be back soon. I’ve seen some doubt whether he’ll slot back in since he was benched before his injury.
But looking at Arsenal’s makeshift back four, I think they need him. Arsenal’s Reddit sees him as their savior.
Midfielders
Noni Madueke (CHE) – West Ham
Among Chelsea’s wingers, he’s the most dangerous and their likeliest goal-scorer. He’s netted in back-to-back games against City and Wolves and should keep his spot.
Chelsea needs a big win after a rough December/January.
Jarrod Bowen (WHU) – Chelsea
Might be fit for Monday’s game, but he should definitely be back for Brentford afterward.
If he’s available, pick him up—he’s a season-long asset.
Mikkel Damsgaard (BRE) – Spurs
Flying under the radar all season, but he’s got 3 assists in his last 5 games and 2 goals / 7 assists overall.
Spurs’ defense is shaky, Brentford should win this one.
Mateus Fernandes (SOU) – Ipswich
Yep, we’re digging out a Southampton player.
They have to win this game. Fernandes consistently gets into great positions but struggles to get the points, just like the rest of the team.
Great underlying stats. Ipswich has conceded 10 goals in their last two games.
Strikers
Omar Marmoush (MCI) – Arsenal
Immediately started against Chelsea last GW.
He’s had an amazing season for Frankfurt (15G / 9A).
Try to pick him up but don't send your great strikers. He's by no means a guaranteed starter.
He’ll be heavily contested so arrange your picks accordingly
Iliman Ndiaye (EVE) – Leicester / Liverpool
Looked more dangerous since Moyes arrived.
Has a double game week, with Leicester at home. If you need a third striker, grab him.
Richarlison (TOT) – Brentford
Returned to the starting lineup last week and scored before getting subbed off injured.
He’s been training with the team and will likely start again. Brentford is the favorite, but their defense is vulnerable, and Spurs will create chances.
Good luck!
