Rating random things in Elden Ring P1: Weapon Infusions
Quality: Balancing the scaling on a weapon seems like an odd choice, but in the right build it can actually really improve an off-hand or softswap secondary. Rank: B
Heavy: Makes the bonk do more bonk. Enough said. Rank: A
Keen: Dex weapons honestly benefit more from lightning or stat boosts, but sure keen works if you want a more open ended buff or to add some dex scaling to a hammer or greatsword. Rank: C
Fire: Increase strength and can cause fire based stun damage. Plus a lot of enemies are pretty weak to fire. Resets Frostbite (because I wouldn't be a Rusty fan if I didn't mention that). Rank: A
Flame Art: Fire, but you're running faith build. Rank: B+
Lightning: Great on Dex weapons, and a good number of bosses can be taken advantage of for their lack of lightning resist. Not bad at all, great on a Misercordé. Rank: A
Sacred: Not bad because the atunement sucks, but holy damage itself is useless. Good for dealing with Tombs if nothing else. Rank: C-
Magic: You're telling me I can make this giant sword do more damage based on how smart I am? Count me the fuck in. Rank: A+
Cold: Generally speaking, frost is a great choice for the Sorceror builds, adding a tasty int scaling and giving that frostbite affect is just too good to pass up on. Rank: S
Bleed: If a boss isn't immune to bleed, it's weak to bleed. Dex isn't even the end of the line, try putting this on a colossal weapon and watch the number skyrocket on strike 2. Rank: S
Poison: With some arcane scaling, it can perform alright. Lack of scaling buffs kinda leaves it in the dust though, just grab a rot grease and throw it on there, far more effective. Rank: C
Occult: Suprisingly useful against those tougher holy bosses. Plus that Arcane scaling can be nice for a dragon communion build or a status hog. Rank: B+
