Whose that character the fandom loves but everyone forgets that the canon characters absolutely despised them?

Khârn is a deep, violent, Khorne berserker whose an awesome character from Warhammer 40k as he had lots of fans, but everyone forgot that Khârn is really reviled in canon characters including many Khorne forces.

Draco malfoy is the same, though I don't like Draco. The sheer amount of fans loving him, ignoring the fact he's hated by nearly everyone for his snobbish racist personality and behavior.

Seeing those characters beloved by the other characters in those stories felts super, super, jarring. It's the reason why I could never get into Draco Malfoy as a character when those characters love him, I don't mind development but seeing how everyone loved him in stories feels wrong.
