What are some characters, ships, or other things that get hated by the fandom that you just can't understand?

To me, it's Silver from Sonic the Hedgehog. Just because he comes from a bad game. If you separate the character from the game, they aren't the same. In general, Silver as a character is a decent, but the game itself isn't. For some reason, people hate him just because of where he comes from. The fact is that he was better in the comics than the games, where he was an interesting character.
