I hope Square has taken notice of Clair Obscur and sees how much potential there is in a modern take on classic JRPG systems

I feel like Clair Obscur is here to eat FF's lunch (assuming it lives up to its potential). I think it demonstrates that there is still a ton of room for growth and innovation in turn based RPGs.

I would love if Square would use its resources and make a legitimate effort to evolve the traditional turn based formula, focusing on their strengths, rather than chasing trends.

Baldur's Gate 3 did this with great success and I see no reason why Square couldn't do the same.

I say this as someone who also really enjoyed FF15 and FF16.

As a FF fan, did Clair Obscur catch your attention as well?
