Was that not a right approach?

Matched with her today this was the only reply that came to my mind, I thought it was pretty smooth, was it not? And after i wrote figured i waited for maybe some reply but then i came up with a message myself - “before that, let’s know each other” but the message was not delivered… i realised she unmatched.
