How to find short courses (4 weeks)

Hi all, I've been asked to do a mandatory activity but I sure as hell dont want to waste a month doing their employability course. I would much rather do a course of my own choice. I am doing a diploma next Feb but they still need me to do something in the meantime. Where can I find courses that are about 4 weeks length? All Certs seem to still be 6 months long? Or maybe I'm not looking in the right place.. Also, does centrelink cover the cost of a course if it is paid?
