A Hike
Neon trees, a magnet of eyes
disgustingly beautiful
it entraps you in its saturated vines
you walk the trail and ignore the signs
Colorful flowers, of every hue
no limitations
forged beauty continues to swallow you
you hike the trail with a flower too blue
Ravishing fruit, of no flavor
eye candy
you take a bite to little avail
and you continue down the retched trail
Newfangled air, of little oxygen
breathless
you breathe the air with your eyes
this illusive trail is the path to demise
