Pre-verified for REAL ID but problems with PennDot website
Hello! I submitted an online pre-verification request for a REAL ID with PennDot and got an email that I was approved and "pre-verified for a REAL ID" and could request it online. The email gives me a link to apply and I get through all the steps until the end of the process when it's time to pay and click a box that says "The information is correct. Add it to my Shopping Cart."
I click that, but matter what I do, and no matter which browser I try (including Chrome), I get the a notice that says: "There was a problem retrieving your record. When contacting Driver and Vehicle Services refer to error 1006." It was already able to retrieve my records, so I am unsure what this could be.
The error message suggests calling and emailing for help, and I tried, but there keeps being a high call volume and I can't get connected or leave a message. I emailed and haven't heard back.
Does anyone know what error 1006 could be? Have you successfully gotten around this, or do I need to go in person to the DMV?
I'm not sure what the point of pre-verification is if you can't use it.
