IMO: meteor scene from Disney’s dinosaurs is the most disturbing moment for any Disney film because it could happen to all of us

Though I was never a disturbed by it.

But the meteor strike in Disney's dinosaurs in my opinion is scary for one reason.

it actually happened and it could happen again.

despite being inaccurate like how most asteroids are very bright and when they hit they hit very fast like a bullet.

it doesn't change the fact that Earth has faced these celestial disasters in the past in fact I like to think that the one in the movie was just just a quarter size of the one that hit the Earth 65 to 66 million years ago.

but this meteor scene is more disturbing the more you think about it and put the history of the dinosaurs in perspective

Sixty-five million years ago, the earth was ruled by Dinosaurs.

Then a killer from deep space threatens the future of every living creature on the planet including the dinosaurs, who ruled earth for 150 million years. One day, killed millions of them. In one year, a dynasty died.

this mass Extinction actually opened the door for Mammal ancestors basically the meek did inherit the earth mammals became more widespread and in time led to our hominid ancestors but then something comes up when we think about the history of mankind and one brutal fact about extinctions

Mass extinctions are a brute part of our past and could be part of our future.

The KT Asteroid impact was the greatest single game changer in the history of life on Earth and who's to say it couldn't happen?

in Earth's history, some things are destined to happen, some things are not able to be avoided or changed and some things are just random bolts out of the blue

while modern technology would likely see another asteroid strike coming there's still nothing we could do to stop it. that is only the stuff of Hollywood

An Animal kingdom that ruled for 150 million years was wiped out in just one.

Could humanity survive a similar catastrophe?

perhaps it's a question best left unanswered.
