Anyone else feel like they never meet the essential requirements of advertised jobs?

It is very disheartening to experience. There are currently 0 roles at the next grade that I can apply for due to having the necessary essential requirements. I have been looking for months. Even when I do apply for them and talk about how I can meet them/other relevant experience, I just get rejected. Does anyone else experience this?
