Nerve block injections?

Soooo, im getting 4 nerve block injections tomorrow in my left side of face, I’m super super anxious! I bought 5% lidocaine ointment to use prior. But, the needles looked huge during my consult. I don’t honestly know if I’ll be able to do it :(. Can someone who’s already done it on their face share their experiences?
