How to think about government support as a weighting factor in valuing companies?
I'm curious if the knowledgable folks on this board have pointers to research that has been done around how to think of a multiplicative factor to weight the importance of having friends in high places. I ask because I would like to think of a more structured way to value companies like Meta, Tesla, and Amazon in the current climate, beyond "I bet the pending antitrust against Meta moves slower because of their recent announcements".
Not that I didn't shoot first in buying a bunch already, but I'd like to be a little more principled.
