No Sound

So I just set up my new Xbox Series S this past weekend and downloaded a couple different games, Fortnite being one of them. Played for a little bit on Sunday with no issues (other than my lack of skill). Fornite updated on Tuesday, and on Wednesday when I went to play I had no sound within the game. Xbox home screen had sound but nothing within Fornite. I have not connected any headphones (wired or wireless), and all settings looked how they should. Would uninstalling and reinstall fix this issue? I'm under the assumption I won't lose any stats and whatnot correct?
