So... Gale is dead.

In the 2nd installment of the 15th Anniversary Angry Birds comic, "Stella's Golden Goodbye" Stella, Ruby, and Red all shipwreck at Golden Island on a boat trip, and Stella goes into the island to explore and meets a hooded figure Revealed to be Handsome pig, who has been living in the abandoned Gale Castle after all the other minion pigs had long left the island

Handsome Pig states he's been staying at the island waiting for Gale's return, and under the guise of hospitality, let's Stella take a bath in purple dye shampoo, dying Stella's top feathers Purple and gives Stella the crown because it's "close enough"

The ending burial of the golden egg given to Stella by HP, the attempt to transform Stella into Gale, and the comments about how "We lost Gale to this Stupid Egg" with HP crying about how he "Misses her"

If the comic wasn't already super obvious already, It's clear that Gale is dead, long dead.

The language is used to refer to her is pretty blunt about it, even though the comic relatively avoids saying the word "Dead"

My best guess as to why this is, is that like the retcon of the Girl Bird into Ruby, The Season 1 finale of Angry Birds Stella is the canonical end of Angry Birds Stella, Gale dies in that Volcano and she never comes out.
