I’m playing Telltale Batman again after a few years, and I forgot how good their Joker is

Joker was my favourite villain when I was a kid but I’ve grown tired of him in recent years. He had become overused, and changed from a funny yet evil character into a grotesque creature.

But the Telltale games Joker (or John) is everything I like about Joker: he’s funny, a bit goofy, a little random (but not too much) and has just the right amount of the clown theme. But they put their own spin on him so he’s interesting and new: he’s unsure, vulnerable despite being violent, and makes you wonder about his mental state without just doing a cliche ‘he’s so insane he’s super sane’ or some nonsense like that.

I’d love it if mainstream DC moved Joker away from disfigured literal monsters that are also somehow omnipotent supernatural geniuses and back to wisecracking slightly chaotic assholes who are just in it to amuse themselves.
