What game got you into board games?

15 years ago I loved games like dungeon keeper and I lamented to my German friend that more games don’t let you play as the bad guy. He told me about a game where you play as an evil mastermind of a lovecraftian mansion and another where you got to be evil gods destroying the world. And that’s how mansions of madness and chaos in the old world became my first real board game
