The Devil Trophy

On my first play through I didn’t know how to save takemura… I have now finished the game and phantom liberty and going for platinum, if I load a previous save of before takemura died, and I save him (by travelling back in time to get the trophy) can I return back to my current save file? Or do I need to replay the game?
