My thoughts on what happened to Garret in the movie

I wanna preface this by saying I am no theorist, this was just a thought that popped into my head while I was watching a random theory video on the movie. I haven't seen the movie since it came out but this is under the impression that we know nothing about Mike's parents.

So I've seen people question why Afton would go out of his way to kidnap Garrett.

What if the parents are reversed? While William has 3 kids and Henry only has a daughter in the game lore, what if in the movie lore William only has a daughter and Henry has 3 kids. William killed one of Henry's kids.

Mike's dad doesn't have to be Henry but still maybe William knew Mike's dad or even his mother? And something happened that caused him to go after Garrett?

I've seen some speculation that Vanessa in the movie is like Charlie in the books, a humanoid robot. Maybe Garret was friends with Vanessa and somehow accidentally caused her death that would lead William to recreate her as a robot?
