3 month ordeal with bad alignment/balancing at Hyundai ASS. Pls help!

TL;DR. 3 months - 3 visits (2 to Hyundai) car still pulling to one side. I don’t know what to do now.

Story so far

  1. My i20 N-Line went for 2nd year annual service in December 2024 with a shade under 10k kms on the clock. It was driving like a dream. Succumbed to the usual service alignment/balancing nonsense. I don’t mind paying, I mind the shoddy job they do. In this case ruining something that was absolutely fine.

  2. Post service car was wobbling a bit at 60-70 and significantly at highway speeds over >100 with a pull on the left.

  3. Took it back to Hyundai in January 2025. I think 2-3 test drives - and another round of alignment car was going straight? But the wobble?? Lived with it obliviously blaming Ceat. Until i drove another Hyundai and realised how poorly my car was driving. A 100km weekend trip made it glaring obvious - I could barely maintain the 120 km expressway speed limit without the steering vibrating in my hand.

  4. End of January 2025, I took it to a third party shop. Who was able to rectify the wobble. As per them the tire balancing was done very very poorly at the service centre. As per them the service centre replaced the wheel weights in approximates as per what was previously already on the tire. Night and day difference after re-doing balancing at my cost from Star Wheels Sector 14.

  5. I am told centering of steering wheel/ alignment is tricky outside of service centre as there is a sensor which needs to be reset. Star Wheels tried their best to centre the steering wheel and car drove fine for a month all of February (500-600kms)

  6. Now today morning I noticed, the car is pulling right. I am at my wits end.

Is anyone facing any similar issue with their i20 / i20 N-line? Any recommendations to get this sorted once and for all. I am based in Gurgaon / Golf Course Road.

PS- A 2017 Tucson in my close circle, has been revisiting Hyundai service centres across NCR for a seemingly un-fixable alignment issue for 1.5 years now. Changed front tires and what all.

Which makes me think this is possibly a larger Hyundai service issue?

I am extremely irritated. All the service test drives and service survey is all eyewash. Apart from changing oil and filters they seem to be incompetent!

Will think twice before recommending / considering Hyundai again. Btw this is my 3rd personal Hyundai not counting another one currently at home. Had a Santro, Grand i10 before this. Buggers are letting down such a good fun car with lame support.

Please chime in.
