Does 60hz display ruin the gaming experience?

Recently I've been wanting to purchase a gaming laptop which I can also use for my work and college. I looked through many available options and was quite impressed by HP pavillion gaming series. They seem light weight and have decent power. Well the only dissapointing drawback I faced was when i saw it had inly 60hz display..will that affect my gaming experience with it..will the game lag? I really want to play good games like battlefield series and GTA with good fps and smoothness.

Also if you can , recommend a good gaming laptop around $1000 , ₹75000
