Questions about Law School App from an Australian Freshman!
Hey everyone! It's my first time posting here, and I'm fairly new to this whole American law school thing! Just got a few questions I'd like to ask haha!
For context, I'm a freshman studying at Melbourne University, Australia. I have been super fortunate to gain a guaranteed entry + full ride scholarship into Melbourne Law School, which is the ranked No.1 law school in Australia
But I thought it'd be nice to also explore options in the States, where I wanna apply to the T14 law schools during the fall of my final undergraduate year. So I've got a few questions haha!
- When should I start LSAT prep? Would it be too early for me to start it now as a freshman?
- Do law schools select primarily based on LSAT + GPA + Personal Statement?
- Do admissions results come out between December - February after I submit?
- Are there interviews involved in admissions? If so, how much do they weigh?
- Do I need work experiences in the legal field to boost my chances?
