10k steps seems difficult for me
today i set out to complete at least 10k steps to do everyday. i walked for almost 2 hours, varying inclines, however when i checked the health app on iPhone, it read only 7.5k.
i understand the app has a decent margin of error, but in 2 hours i was hoping it would at least be closer to 8.5k-9k at least. im hoping to make this a habit for weight loss as im not a fan of running, however it's kinda demotivating since i spent two hours walking, it was a nice walk nonetheless but i was hoping to break 10k. i could try to portion the steps across the day however i don't have much free time for that.
how do you guys reach your cardio/step goals? any advice is welcome
EDIT: thank you so much for the overwhelming support and advice received. i got sucked into the trap of beating myself up for not reaching a certain goal. i need to make my goals more palatable and will just aim to walk as long as i please everyday without focusing on the number on the app :)
