Did you guys suck too or…?

I bought Metal Gear Solid Five like four years ago. I played it for like fifteen hours and just couldn’t get a grip or the mechanics or stealth almost at all. I tried to Sam Fisher it and play like I would in Splinter Cell but I’d always get spotted and the whole place would turn into a complete shitshow. I basically would lose over and over again or fail doing the missions, or I’d do them so poorly it ended up just being a third person shooter instead of the stealth game I was supposed to treat it as.

I end up just mindlessly running around on a horse not even knowing if I am doing the games “main” objectives. I don’t even know what’s going on!

I also have so many questions because I thought Metal Gear Solid was stealth war game but then I turn it on and there’s like a giant man on fire floating around this hospital and I’m completely bewildered.

Like I can’t tell because the game has received so many accolades just what the fuck I’m doing wrong. Did you guys suck at it too? When will it start to make sense? What do I do?

I watch tutorials online and those guys seem like they’ve mastered like a hundred different complicated mechanics. I just want to play what everyone else is and I’m eating asss over here!

Was there a big learning curve before you started to “get” the game? This game has been in my collection and I must have picked it up like five different times, got confused, and uninstalled every time.
