Update on "What to wear to a job interview when it's hotter than Satan's arsehole?" And a new qu: what to wear to the office when it gets flesh-meltingly hot?
Original post here: https://www.reddit.com/r/perth/s/bhOS66viDB
I ended up wearing tan pants, brown shoes and belt, white button up with a undershirt underneath. Was hot and uncomfortable but looked good. Unfortunately, I did not get the job.
However I wore the same fit to 3 other interviews, the final one i got the job! I start in early Jan. But I've never really worked in an office before, previous career I could wear shorts and a loose tshirt. I always run hot but summer is just torture. It's primarily office based but will require going on site pretty often.
Looked around during the interview and most blokes were in pants/polos so doesn't seem super conservative.
So far I've been put onto the uniqulo airism range, got pants in 3 colours, some undershirts and normal tshirts. Got some leather sneakers style shoes that I see a lot of professional looking guys wear, and some polos from TK Maxx that seem to be breathable.
Another other good options that aren't uniqulo?
