Pros and cons of living at lipa, batangas

Hi were looking at a preselling property in lipa. I just want to know what are the pros and cons of living there. My parents would mostly like stay there full time and uwian lang kami from Manila. Ive read na there are always brownouts and risk din ung taal. How did it affect your decisions of staying there?
