Removed lines from Mary's ending monologue?

Why'd they remove:

I can't ask you to remember me, but I can't bear for you to forget me. These last few years since I became ill... I'm so sorry for what I did to you. Did to us. You've given me so much and I haven't been able to return a single thing.

?

The ending speech is SO important. I went in expecting changes, and no ones gonna lose sleep over Eddie not saying "Let's party!" or the famous pizza exchange being nixed. But damn, changing Mary's letter feels downright scareligous
