Chocolate Finance Withdrawal Issue
Strongly considering to stop using Chocolate Finance after this experience.
I transferred money from Choco to Maribank because my credit card bill was due in 2 days. Wanted to pay it off.
But then, the money wasn’t in. After contacting their customer service, turns out there’s a DBS outage. Then my money is still in process.
It’s been almost 24 hours and I feel anxious because there are no updates from Choco Finance. I don’t know when it will be transferred.
I need the money I transferred to pay off my credit card debt by 10th or I’ll be charged with late interest. It makes me feel very anxious because I have never been late for a credit card payment before. Neither do I want to be.
I don’t have enough cash in my other bank accounts to pay off my credit card bill. So I might have to approach friends and family for a temporary loan if my money doesn’t hit Maribank tomorrow.
It’s just unnecessary trouble and not worth the few cents of interest rate for me. This incident makes me think that Choco Finance is unreliable because how can this happen, with no updates on what is going to happen to my money?
In this day and age, bank transfers are immediate and that is also part of their branding. Immediate withdrawals. There’s also no updates on their insta story regarding their DBS Outage.
