Rose isn’t that bad

In Steven universe most of the fans think rose quartz is selfish for not telling anyone she is pink diamond and leaving Steven to do all of her dirty work. I used to think that like you could’ve told everyone this and you everything would’ve been fine. I rewatched an episode where I saw the diamonds lock Steven up in a tower, they did this with rose a lot, she was locked up for doing what she believed in and they locked her up, and basically abused her. She ran away from an abusive family, she did leave spinel in the garden but I’m just spitballing maybe she thought that if she faked her death someone would visit her garden and take spinel and she would be safer. In the ending credits song “ love like you “ I think the song is basically sung by rose quartz’s or it’s like about her. She doesn’t see how anybody loves her I think it’s basically about the interactions between rose and Greg. How he loves her and she doesn’t think she’s worthy of being loved. That’s why I think when she gave away her life to become Steven she basically killed herself so she could be something good for once, human. Do keep in mind she was fascinated with humans and everything they do. Also if rose really told the diamonds where she was what do you think would happen? Part of me thinks she thought they didn’t love her that’s why she faked her death and ran away. I think she was depressed if I’m being honest or had low self esteem and worth.
