Jobs for international students in Investment banking/ consulting

I have heard that the job market is better for engineering grads and medical graduates. Well it’s hard even for them to find a job as far as I have heard. So is it even more difficult when you’re doing for example a bachelor of economics hoping to work in IB or consulting? I checked and even most internships require you to have PR.

So is there any international from commerce/finance/econ background who successfully managed to land an internship or a job? What about in big 4, MBB, or other tier 1 companies?
