Long time lurker, finally time to ask

My girlfriend is looking for a new car. She's considering this 2018 toyota prius 2. We know very little about cars, but she's after a hybrid with probably a 15-16k loan budget. Anyone able to help her by chance? Is this a good car, bad, what's an alternative if bad, and why? Thank you in advance! I can provide any extra necessary info in the comments
