What Packs Should I Get on The Birthday Sale?!
Hi! Looking for some veteran advice on packs with decent gameplay. I like getting them while they are on sale. No preference for Expansion packs versus Game packs. I don't play with mods or CC. My mac can barely keep up as it is! I typically lean towards realistic gameplay, with a little fun thrown in here and there.
I just want some more gameplay to add depth to my games. I care a little less about build items. Packs I am eyeing:
- Get to Work (why does everyone seem to hate on this one?)
- The thought of owning a shop for a job sounds like endless fun and possibility, no?
- For Rent
- How are these mechanisms different than the apartments in City Living?
- Discover University
- I'm not too thorough with playing toddler/kid/teen Sims. This seems like it could really open that up. And I love a pack that offers a new world.
- Eco Lifestyle
- No thoughts, but it piques my interest?
- Anything I am missing that you love?
Packs I have now and what I "like" about them:
- Cottage Living
- I like the town, some of the build items, and the whole "homestead" vibe. But, it isn't life changing for me.
- Seasons
- How is this NOT in the base game????
- Cats and Dogs
- Again, how is this not in the base game at this point?
- City Living
- Everything! Love the neighborhoods, love the festivals. This is PACKED with gameplay and it keeps me from playing like "sleep, bathroom, eat, work, maybe something fun, repeat."
- Dream Home Decorator
- Everything! I did wear it out a little at first and the sparkle of redesigning homes for a job has waned. Still loving it!
- Realm of Magic (who doesn't like witch stuff?)
- I like it. Worth the sale price I paid. I think this is enough for me by way of "unrealistic" (meaning, I don't think I would get into vampires or werewolves.)
- Spa Day
- Love it! Also seems easy enough to wear out, but I enjoy the gameplay and has some good build items.
- Tiny Living
- Love it! The lot constraints add a challenge, build items are great.
