I used to hear voices all the time at bedtime. I didn't see things that weren't there, but objects that were there would look like faces.

O interesting! I also found it pretty common to make out what looked to be faces in my surroundings.

You are not alone, I find it difficult to wrap my brain around. I am essentially going against all my natural instincts, learning new rules that are seen as common sense, only for people to break those rules ! I feel you on family and peers making you feel lesser-than for not learning. I made it known I just need extra support, but am made to feel stupid for needing it :P
